Now available online, the talk given at the Wilkesboro Library on June 15. Those connected to Duke Energy in North Carolina have a unique opportunity to make money by selling power. Under the “buy-all/sell-all” option two meters are used, one for the energy sold to the utility company, and one for the energy used in the home or business. You can sell energy for about 24 cents per kilowatt-hour while you buy it for 8.5. The solar system can be larger than required for what you use.
